Monday blues stayed away
04.17. Monday
As I woke up I was excited to start my week in Tuscany far from glooming clouds of work. I decided to go on a little adventure, going on a ride from Montepulciano to Parco del Lago Trasimeno which is a leisurely drive through some of the nicest scenery. So, let's hit the road and see where it takes us!
The first thing you'll notice as you leave Montepulciano behind is the rolling hills. These hills seem to go on forever, and it's hard not to feel like you're driving through a postcard. But don't get too distracted by the views. The roads in this part of Italy are notoriously windy, so you'll want to keep your eyes on the road (and your hands on the wheel).
Picture this: I'm cruising down the winding roads of Tuscany, and the view from my window is nothing short of stunning. As far as the eye can see, there are rolling hills covered in greenery, dotted with the occasional quaint little village. I half expect to see a hobbit popping up from one of the many hills!
Speaking of hills, the roads in this part of Italy can be quite... tricky. But fear not, for the rewards are well worth the occasional sharp turn. Trust me, I had to grip the wheel tight at times, but the breathtaking views made it all worth it. As I drove closer to the park, I could feel myself getting more and more excited. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The park is home to the largest lake in central Italy, and the view was nothing short of magical. I could see why this place is a haven for nature lovers - the peacefulness of the lake was something special.(pictures won't do justice)
